TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Registration fees are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of 10% GST.

Discounted registration fees are available across all events of the conference for ASSDA Members. Non-members must pay the full fee at the non-member rate.

​

ASSDA does not allow shared registrations. A separate registration is required for each individual.

 

Registration is not confirmed until payment has been received in full. All registrations must be confirmed and paid for by Wednesday 1 October 2025. Credit card payment online or by telephone is accepted (Visa or MasterCard only), or you may request an invoice to pay via direct deposit.

All cancellations must be made in writing to assda@assda.asn.au. Verbal cancellations, i.e. by telephone, will not be accepted. The following schedule applies:

1. Cancellations received 30 days outside the event will be entitled to a full refund.

2. Cancellations received within 30 days of the event (i.e., from 15 September 2025) will be charged the full amount; no refunds will be available unless applied at our discretion.

Replacement delegates may be sent in lieu of cancellation and transfer of registration must be confirmed in writing to assda@assda.asn.au.

Special provisions for registration in relation to an epidemic, pandemic and/or associated enforced government restrictions are provided below.

Please be mindful that this event is being arranged and scheduled in a post-pandemic climate. The conference program is subject to change, and ASSDA may alter the times, dates, and content of this event without notice to you at any time.

Special provisions in relation to epidemics, pandemics and enforced government restrictions are detailed below. The event is being held on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It is strongly recommended delegates view the restrictions and public health directions in Queensland (available on the Queensland Government website) to determine their own capacity to attend the event.

1. Enforced Restrictions
   Where government restrictions are imposed directly affecting the delegate's ability to attend the event (i.e., border closures, lockdown or mandatory quarantine), the following applies:
   
   (a) The balance of your conference session registration, as well as for any social events can be cancelled and fully refunded if written notice to assda@assda.asn.au has been provided by 5.00pm AEST on Tuesday 7 October 2025. You may also choose to have your registration credited for a future PacRim Stainless event or send a replacement delegate in lieu of cancellation.
   
   (b) No refunds for any PacRim Stainless events will be issues for cancellation received after 5.00pm AEST Tuesday 7 October 2025. Replacement delegates may be sent in lieu of cancellation.
    

2. Event Postponement
   Should the event be postponed due to a pandemic-related or similar event and enforced restrictions impacting the majority of delegates attending, all registrations will be transferred to the new event date. The event registration cancellation policy will apply with the new dates in effect.
    

3. Event Cancellation
   Where there is an outbreak of an epidemic in the city where the hotel is located (i.e. Gold Coast), the booking can be fully cancelled and refunded, or credited for a future PacRim Stainless event. Under these circumstances, our liability is limited to the refund of your conference registration fee. Expenses incurred for travel, accommodation, and other related expenses are the responsibility of the delegate. ASSDA will not be liable for any loss or damages.

Conference registration for PacRim Stainless does NOT include travel, accommodation, and other related expenses. All delegates are responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation.

ASSDA has secured discounted accommodation rates at the venue, The Island Gold Coast, starting from $200 per night and is subject to availability. Instructions to book discounted accommodation at The Island Gold Coast will be distributed once registration for the conference event has been received. All delegates booking accommodation directly with The Island Gold Coast will enter into its own agreement with the hotel.
